LIFTING THE LAYERS (Saturday, June 29, 2013)

Gregorian chanting silenced
In the heat of non-belief
Words numbed in dark corners
The alley smells of blood and sweat
The ground resonates with the bells

Yes, I’m here
Right here
In the center of the whirling abyss
Standing still
In peace.

REMINDERS (Tuesday, May 21, 2013)

A bunch of orange carnations peeked out
A little angel waved her hand

Time to stop the mind.

THE BUBBLE WOMAN (Thursday, May 2, 2013)

Past hurts boomerang to me
Turn into dust before hitting
Dreams float like mines
Change their route away within one yard
Desires are released from the bow
Clash against the invisible rocks
Romantic love raises its head from the pit
Retreats back like a lightning

Your face lingers at an eye-look distance
Peeking behind a column
My heart skips a beat
It dissolves away

As I breathe in

PRICELESS (Sunday, February 17, 2013)

Light like a feather swaying in the navy blue
Debris washed away by night rain

A jay is hopping on frozen grass
A neighbor across the street shakes napkins out
The flowerpots along the balcony are empty
Chairs and table stacked in one corner
Naked branches are deep asleep in a Spring dream

No resistance to breathe in
And out

Traffic in my mind has ceased.

IT WAS MY MIND THAT WAS THROBBING (Tuesday, January 29, 2013)

Sitting on the zafu
The world flows evenly
No twists
No turns
The wells are filled
Peaks blunted
Paths are cleared
Dams deconstructed
Fire is fire
So is ice
Day turns into night
Night into day
None better than the other
The hunted hunts the hunter
Life chases its own tail of death
A forget-me-not blossoms in the garbage field

All still
All flowing evenly.
