A woman loved a man
He did not love her back
She did not mind it at all
Believed love is
Should be
‘’Unconditional’’
With no expectation
The return of her love
Should
And did remain
A silent cry in her soul
Days followed months
Months followed years
The woman’s heart petrified
It got tough to stand firm
After all
She was the proud single mother of a lovely girl
A blossoming cherry flower
A sparkle in the middle of the black night
One day
A raindrop fell from the cloudless sky
On the white rose petal in a poetry book
The woman loved a man
